Experimental Investigation of the Dark Pseudoresonance on the D1 Line of the 87Rb Atom Excited by a Linearly Polarized Field
Sergei Zibrov, V. L. Velichansky, A. S. Zibrov +2
The measurements of the metrological characteristics (amplitude, width, and shift in the magnetic field) of the dark pseudoresonance, which was proposed by Kazakov et al. [quant-ph…
Induced Absorption Resonance on the Open Fg = 1 -> Fe = 2 Transition of the D1 Line of the 87Rb Atom
A. S. Zibrov, A. B. Matsko
Induced absorption resonance on the open Fg=1 -> Fe = 2 transition of the D1 line of the 87Rb atom has been observed. The effect of atomic motion on the formation of the resonance…
Experimental preparation of pure superposition states of atoms via elliptically polarized bichromatic radiation
Sergei A. Zibrov, V. L. Velichansky, A. V. Taichenachev +2
We propose a simple and effective way of creating pure dark superposition states. The generation of pure states is carried out by using bichromatic radiation with controllable pola…
A novel absorption resonance for all-optical atomic clocks
Sergei Zibrov, Irina Novikova, David F. Phillips +4
We report an experimental study of an all-optical three-photon-absorption resonance (known as a "N-resonance") and discuss its potential application as an alternative to atomic clo…
