On differences between consecutive numbers coprime to primorials
Mario Ziller
We consider the ordered sequence of coprimes to a given primorial number and investigate differences between consecutive elements. The Jacobsthal function applied to the concerning…
New computational results on a conjecture of Jacobsthal
Mario Ziller
Jacobsthal's conjecture has been disproved by counterexample a few years ago. We continue to verify this conjecture on a larger scale. For this purpose, we implemented an extension…
A short note on the computation of the generalised Jacobsthal function for paired progressions
Mario Ziller, John F. Morack
Jacobsthal's function was recently generalised for the case of paired progressions. It was proven that a specific bound of this function is sufficient for the truth of Goldbach's c…
Divisibility in paired progressions, Goldbach's conjecture, and the infinitude of prime pairs
Mario Ziller, John F. Morack
We investigate progressions in the set of pairs of integers and define a generalisation of the Jacobsthal function. For this function, we conjecture a specific upper…
Algorithmic concepts for the computation of Jacobsthal's function
Mario Ziller, John F. Morack
The Jacobsthal function has aroused interest in various contexts in the past decades. We review several algorithmic ideas for the computation of Jacobsthal's function for primorial…
