SUPER I. Toward an unbiased study of ionized outflows in z~2 active galactic nuclei: survey overview and sample characterization
C. Circosta, V. Mainieri, P. Padovani +36
Theoretical models of galaxy formation suggest that the presence of an active galactic nucleus (AGN) is required to regulate the growth of its host galaxy through feedback mechanis…
Widespread QSO-driven outflows in the early Universe
M. Bischetti, R. Maiolino, S. Carniani. F. Fiore +2
We present the stacking analysis of a sample of 48 QSOs at 4.5<z<7.1 detected by ALMA in the [CII] 158 micron line to investigate the presence and the properties of massive, cold o…
The rest-frame UV-to-optical spectroscopy of APM 08279+5255 - BAL classification and black hole mass estimates
F. G. Saturni, M. Bischetti, E. Piconcelli +9
We present the analysis of the rest-frame optical-to-UV spectrum of APM 08279+5255, a well-known lensed broad absorption line (BAL) quasar at . The spectroscopic data ar…
The dense molecular gas in the QSO SDSS J231038.88+185519.7 resolved by ALMA
C. Feruglio, F. Fiore, S. Carniani +13
We present ALMA observations of the CO(6-5) and [CII] emission lines and the sub-millimeter continuum of the quasi-stellar object (QSO) SDSS J231038.88+185519.7. Compared…
