On the structure of multi-layer cellular neural networks: Complexity between two layers
Jung-Chao Ban, Chih-Hung Chang
Let be the solution space of an -layer cellular neural network, and let and be the hidden spaces, where .…
On the escape rate of unique beta-expansions
Jung-Chao Ban, Chih-Hung Chang, Bing Li
Let . It is well-known that the set of points in having unique -expansion, in other words, those points whose orbits under greedy -transformation e…
Tree-Shifts: Irreducibility, mixing, and the chaos of tree-shifts
Jung-Chao Ban, Chih-Hung Chang
Topological behavior, such as chaos, irreducibility, and mixing of a one-sided shift of finite type, is well elucidated. Meanwhile, the investigation of multidimensional shifts, fo…
Tree-Shifts: The entropy of tree-shifts of finite type
Jung-Chao Ban, Chih-Hung Chang
This paper studies the entropy of tree-shifts of finite type with and without boundary conditions. We demonstrate that computing the entropy of a tree-shift of finite type is equiv…
On the Bernoulli Automorphism of Reversible Linear Cellular Automata
Chih-Hung Chang, Huilan Chang
This investigation studies the ergodic properties of reversible linear cellular automata over for . We show that a reversible linear cellular autom…
