Galaxy Evolution in Three dimensions : Time, Space and Mass
Tadayuki Kodama, Richard Bower, Philip Best +3
There are three major axes to describe the evolution of galaxies, namely, time (redshift), space (environment) and mass (stellar mass). In this article, one topic each will be pres…
HST and UKIRT imaging observations of z ~ 1 6C radio galaxies - I. The data
K. J. Inskip, P. N. Best, M. S. Longair +3
The results of Hubble Space Telescope and UKIRT imaging observations are presented for a sample of 11 6C radio galaxies with redshifts 0.85 < z < 1.5. The observations of the 6C so…
6C radio galaxies at z~1: The influence of radio power on the alignment effect
Katherine J. Inskip, Philip N. Best, Malcolm S. Longair
Powerful radio galaxies often display enhanced optical/UV continuum emission and extended emission line regions, elongated and aligned with the radio jet axis. The expansion of the…
The Low Frequency Radio Counterpart of the XMM Large Scale Structure Survey
A. S. Cohen, H. J. A. Röttgering, N. E. Kassim +8
The XMM Large Scale Structure Survey (XMM-LSS) is a major project to map the large scale structure of the universe out to cosmological distances. An 8 degree by 8 degree region wil…
