Gravitational instabilities in a protosolar-like disc III: molecular line detection and sensitivities
M. G. Evans, T. W. Hartquist, P. Caselli +3
At the time of formation, protoplanetary discs likely contain a comparable mass to their host protostars. As a result, gravitational instabilities (GIs) are expected to play a pivo…
The chemistry of protoplanetary fragments formed via gravitational instabilities
J. D. Ilee, D. H. Forgan, M. G. Evans +8
In this paper, we model the chemical evolution of a 0.25 M protoplanetary disc surrounding a 1 M star that undergoes fragmentation due to self-gravity. We use S…
Molecular outflow launched beyond the disk edge
Felipe O. Alves, Josep M. Girart, Paola Caselli +5
One of the long-standing problems of star formation is the excess of angular momentum of the parent molecular cloud. In the classical picture, a fraction of angular momentum of the…
Gravitational instabilities in a protosolar-like disc II: continuum emission and mass estimates
M. G. Evans, J. D. Ilee, T. W. Hartquist +6
Gravitational instabilities (GIs) are most likely a fundamental process during the early stages of protoplanetary disc formation. Recently, there have been detections of spiral fea…
