A Hybrid Approach to Event Reconstruction for Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes Combining Machine Learning and Likelihood Fitting
Georg Schwefer, Robert Parsons, Jim Hinton
The imaging atmospheric Cherenkov technique provides potentially the highest angular resolution achievable in astronomy at energies above the X-ray waveband. High-resolution measur…
Effect of the diffusion parameters on the observed gamma-ray spectrum of sources and their contribution to the local all-electron spectrum: the EDGE code
R. López-Coto, J. Hahn, S. BenZvi +5
The positron excess measured by PAMELA and AMS can only be explained if there is one or several sources injecting them. Moreover, at the highest energies, it requires the presence…
EDGE: a code to calculate diffusion of cosmic-ray electrons and their gamma-ray emission
R. Lopez-Coto, J. Hahn, J. Hinton +5
The positron excess measured by PAMELA and AMS can only be explained if there is one or several sources injecting them. Moreover, at the highest energies, it requires the presence…
Escape from Vela X
James Hinton, Stefan Funk, Robert Parsons +1
Whilst the Vela pulsar and its associated nebula are often considered as the archetype of a system powered by a \sim10^4 year old isolated neutron star, many features of the spectr…
