SegSort: Segmentation by Discriminative Sorting of Segments
Jyh-Jing Hwang, Stella X. Yu, Jianbo Shi +4
Almost all existing deep learning approaches for semantic segmentation tackle this task as a pixel-wise classification problem. Yet humans understand a scene not in terms of pixels…
The iMaterialist Fashion Attribute Dataset
Sheng Guo, Weilin Huang, Xiao Zhang +6
Large-scale image databases such as ImageNet have significantly advanced image classification and other visual recognition tasks. However much of these datasets are constructed onl…
NetAdapt: Platform-Aware Neural Network Adaptation for Mobile Applications
Tien-Ju Yang, Andrew Howard, Bo Chen +5
This work proposes an algorithm, called NetAdapt, that automatically adapts a pre-trained deep neural network to a mobile platform given a resource budget. While many existing algo…
Learning Unified Embedding for Apparel Recognition
Yang Song, Yuan Li, Bo Wu +3
In apparel recognition, specialized models (e.g. models trained for a particular vertical like dresses) can significantly outperform general models (i.e. models that cover a wide r…
Automatic Spatially-aware Fashion Concept Discovery
Xintong Han, Zuxuan Wu, Phoenix X. Huang +5
This paper proposes an automatic spatially-aware concept discovery approach using weakly labeled image-text data from shopping websites. We first fine-tune GoogleNet by jointly mod…
