Birkhoff's Theorem for Panstochastic Matrices

Abstract

The panstochastic analogue of Birkhoff's Theorem on doubly-stochastic matrices is proved in the case $n=5$. It is shown that this analogue fails when $n>1$, $n\ne 5$.
