Separated sequences in uniformly convex Banach spaces

Abstract

We prove that the unit sphere of every infinite-dimensional uniformly convex Banach space with modulus of convexity $\delta$ contains a $(1+\frac{1}{2}\delta (\frac{2}{3}))$-separated sequence.
