Chern Classes of the Moduli Stack of Curves

Abstract

Here we calculate the Chern classes of ${\bar{\mathcal{M}}}_{g,n}$, the moduli stack of stable n-pointed curves. In particular, we prove that such classes lie in the tautological ring.
