A construction of $C^{\ast }$-algebras from $C^{\ast }$-correspondences

Abstract

We introduce a method to define $C^{\ast }$-algebras from $C^{\ast }$-correspondences. Our construction generalizes Cuntz-Pimsner algebras, crossed products by Hilbert $C^{\ast }$-modules, and graph algebras.
