Abstract
Let be a smooth hypersurface of degree in . We prove that the log canonical threshold of is at least . Under the assumption of the Log minimal model program, we also prove that a hyperplane section of is a cone in over a smooth hypersurface of degree in if and only if the log canonical threshold of is .
