Abstract

We establish that there is no finite PT-symmetric Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) and as a consequence the Callan-Symanzik function $β (α) < 0$ for all $α$ greater than zero: PT-symmetric QED exhibits both asymptotic freedom and infrared slavery.
