Electromagnetic Transition Form Factor of Pseudoscalar Meson and $\eta -{\eta }^{\prime }$ Mixing

Abstract

The electromagnetic transition form factors of $\eta$ and ${\eta }^{\prime }$ are calculated in the light-cone perturbation theory. We show that it is unreliable to determine the η-\etap'$mixinganglewithoutanyadditionalnormalizationconditionsotherthantheirdecaywidthestotwophotons.Thepossibleintrinsic$c\bar{c}$componentintheflavorsingletisinvestigated.Theheavyquarkpairhasdistinctpropertiesfromthelightonesinelectromagnetictransitionprocessesofpseudoscalarmesons.Itispossibletoexplorethesizeof$c\bar{c}$componentandournumericalresultsdisfavoralargeportionof$c\bar{c}$ component.
