Four-Way Neutrino Oscillations

Abstract

We present a four-neutrino model with three active neutrinos and one sterile neutrino which naturally has maximal $\hat{I}{½}_{\hat{I}}¼\to \hat{I}{½}_{\ddot{I}}„$ oscillations of atmospheric neutrinos and can explain the solar neutrino and LSND results. The model predicts $\hat{I}{½}_e\to \hat{I}{½}_{\ddot{I}}„$ and $\hat{I}{½}_e\to \hat{I}{½}_{\hat{I}}¼$ oscillations in long-baseline experiments with $L/E\gg 1$ km/GeV with amplitudes that are determined by the LSND oscillation amplitude and argument controlled by the atmospheric $\hat{I}´m^2$.
