Abstract
In the framework of Regge phenomenology, masses of the charmed states lying on the -like trajectories are estimated. The overall agreement between our estimated masses and the recent predictions given by modified quark models[hep-ph/0605019, hep-ph/0608011, hep-ph/0608139] is good. Masses of the observed charmed states , and / can be reasonably reproduced in the picture of these charmed states as simple quark-antiquark configurations. We therefore suggest the can be identified as the states. The possible assignments of the and / are discussed.
