Abstract
The factorial moments (FM) of multiplicity distribution are used to study the deconfinement phase transition in heavy-ion collisions. The relation between FM and the partition number, , results positive intermittency exponents, . According to the signatures suggested from certain statistical models, the two-dimensional results of the dependence of , anomalous fractal, and Rényi dimensions, , and the normalized exponents, , on the orders of FM evidently supply evidence for the quark-hadron phase transition in Pb+Pb collisions at 158 AGeV.
