Measurement of Decay Amplitudes of \B \to (\ccbar) \Kstar with an angular analysis, for (\ccbar)=\jpsi, \psitwos and \chicone

Abstract

We perform the first three-dimensional measurement of the amplitudes of $B\to \psi (2S)K^{\ast }$ and $B\to {\chi }_{c1}{K}^{\ast }$ decays and update our previous measurement for $B\to J/\psi K^{\ast }$. We use a data sample collected with the {\slshape BABAR} detector at the PEP-II storage ring, representing 232 million produced $B\bar{B}$ pairs. The longitudinal polarization of decays to the $1^{++}{\chi }_{c1}$ meson together with a $K^{\ast }$ meson, is found to be larger than that for the decay to the $1^{--}\Psi$ mesons. No direct CP-violating charge asymmetry is observed.
