Measurement of the branching ratio for the decay $K^{\pm }\to {\pi }^{\pm }{\pi }^0{\pi }^0$ with the KLOE detector

Abstract

A new measurement of the absolute branching ratio BR($K^{\pm }\to {\pi }^{\pm }{\pi }^0{\pi }^0$) with the KLOE detector at the DA$\Phi$NE $e^{+}{e}^{-}$ collider is presented, based on a sample of $\sim 3.3\times 10^7$ charged kaons tagged events, produced in the reaction $e^{+}{e}^{-}\to \varphi \to K^{+}{K}^{-}$.The value BR($K^{\pm }\to {\pi }^{\pm }{\pi }^0{\pi }^0$) $=(1.781\pm 0.013_{stat}\pm 0.016_{syst})$ has been obtained.
