Kasner Exponents from the Bouncing Singularity

Abstract
The black hole singularity can be probed by the thermal boundary two-point correlator. When there is a bouncing geodesic, the boundary correlator reveals the singular behavior at large . We show that the additional power is determined by the Kasner exponents near the singularity: for planar black branes in AdS, we derive the formula , where and are the exponents of the time and spatial directions. We compare our formula with the numerical values of Čeplak and Valach. It reproduces their relation for black branes with . For , where no formula had been found, our formula agrees with most of their data and fits them much better than their relation. We also give predictions for in theories where the Kasner exponents are known, but has not been computed.
