Scattering in spacetime cones for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation

arXiv:2610.29265

Abstract

We consider the nonlinear Schrödinger equation on , with a class of `mixed' nonlinearities that admit soliton solutions. We are interested in the long-time behaviour of solutions with finite, but possibly large, mass and/or energy. By a spacetime cone, we mean an open set in that is invariant under dilation for all . Our main result is as follows: let be the solution with initial condition in . Let be the mass and energy of , and let be sufficiently small. Let be the complement of of sufficiently thin spacetime cones , where are fixed velocities and is sufficiently small. If the norm of in is , we prove that scatters in .
