Abstract
Let be a -bounded multiplicative function, and suppose that , where and . We prove that Here the constant is optimal. This settles two conjectures of Granville and Lamzouri recently. If is completely multiplicative, the constant improves to . The main new ingredient is a two-prime Ramaré decomposition identity.
