Abstract
For a -uniform hypergraph , let be the minimum number of copies of in an -vertex -graph with edges. Let be the minimum number of copies obtained by adding edges to an extremal -free -graph. A graph is color-critical if deleting a suitable edge decreases its chromatic number. Let be the expanded graph obtained by adding new vertices to each edge of , with disjoint sets of new vertices for distinct edges. Mubayi proved that, for every clique with and fixed , for every sufficiently large . Pikhurko and Yilma later proved that, for every color-critical graph , there is a constant such that for every sufficiently large and . We extend this equality to expanded color-critical graphs. Let . For every color-critical graph with , there is a constant such that for every sufficiently large and . Let be the largest integer such that for every integer . We give a sufficient condition for and an explicit family satisfying it. We also give a different sufficient condition under which and an explicit family satisfying it. \noindent \emph{Keywords.} Supersaturation; extremal graph; color-critical graph; chromatic number; expanded graph; hypergraph.
