Additional ionization during nuclear decay in atomic systems

arXiv:2610.14109

Abstract

An original method is developed for numerical calculations of probabilities of the bound-free atomic excitations during the nuclear decays in actual atoms and ions. To achieve this goal we have derived and tested the closed analytical formulas for the final state probabilities of different excitations in the few-electron atomic systems. This study is the first non-approximate and essentially complete investigation of the atomic bound-free excitations during the nuclear decays in atoms.
