Fortuity on the conifold

Abstract

To study the BPS black hole states in typical AdS/CFT models, we formulate a classical cohomology problem in the Klebanov-Witten theory, which is defined at a strongly coupled RG fixed point. We set up its weakly coupled cohomology problem in the UV theory, suggesting a refined notion of monotonous and fortuitous cohomologies so that simple baryonic operators belong to the former. We construct infinitely many fortuitous cohomologies in the theory and interpret some of them as versions of hairy black hole states dressed by baryonic condensates. We also comment that the recently constructed fortuitous cohomologies in ABJM exhibit generalized monotonicity.
