Search for charmonium(like) states $X$ in $e^{+}{e}^{-}\to \gamma X\to \gamma D^{\ast 0}{\bar{D}}^{\ast 0}$ at BESIII

Abstract

A search is performed for a state $X$ decaying into $D^{\ast 0}{\bar{D}}^{\ast 0}$ produced in the process $e^{+}{e}^{-}\to \gamma X$ using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1667.4 $\mathrm{p}{\mathrm{b}}^{-1}$ collected at $\sqrt{s}=4.682$ GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII. The state $X$ could be one of the $C$-even states $X(4013)$, ${\eta }_c(3S)$, ${\chi }_{c0}(3P)$, ${\chi }_{c1}(3P)$, or ${\chi }_{c2}(3P)$. No significant signal is observed in the corresponding signal region. Upper limits of ${\sigma }_{e^{+}{e}^{-}\to \gamma X}\cdot {\mathrm{Br}}_{X\to D^{\ast 0}{\bar{D}}^{\ast 0}}$ at 90% confidence level are provided, where ${\sigma }_{e^{+}{e}^{-}\to \gamma X}$ represents the cross section of the $e^{+}{e}^{-}\to \gamma X$ process, and ${\mathrm{Br}}_{X\to D^{\ast 0}{\bar{D}}^{\ast 0}}$ is the branching fraction of the $X\to D^{\ast 0}{\bar{D}}^{\ast 0}$ process.
