Extremal Rota-Baxter operators on matrix algebras

Abstract

We classify all Rota-Baxter operators of weight $\lambda$ on $M_n(F)$ over a field $F$ of characteristic zero whose minimal polynomial has maximal degree and show that in both cases $\lambda =0$ and $\lambda \ne 0$ such an operator is conjugate to exactly one operator.
