Induced-saturated graphs exist for even cycles

arXiv:2608.24202

Abstract

A graph is \emph{-induced-saturated} if has no induced subgraph isomorphic to but changing the adjacency of an arbitrary pair of vertices in creates an induced copy of . The existence problem for -induced-saturated graphs had previously been settled when is a complete graph, a path, an odd cycle, or an even cycle of length at most . In this paper, for every integer , we construct a -induced-saturated graph. Hence, induced-saturated graphs exist for all cycles, except for the cycle of length 3.
