Abstract

Recently, A. Tyulenev and the author studied the class of metric spaces such that for every mapping , there exists a -Lipschitz function that catches the total variation of , i.e. such that . In this short note, we show that a metric space enjoys this property if and only if there exists a random -Lipschitz function on such that for every and in .
