Abstract
Let be a prime. We determine the set of numbers that occur as the -invariant of perfectoid subfields of . Given any number that is the -invariant of a field of characteristic , we give an explicit construction of a perfectoid field with the same -invariant. In particular, if a number is the -invariant of a field of characteristic , it is also the -invariant of a field of characteristic zero.
