On the Gevrey well-posedness for weakly hyperbolic biwave type equations

Abstract

We study the Cauchy problem for biwave type equations with coefficients depending only on time. Assuming ${\mathcal{C}}^{\hat{I}}º$ regularity of the principal symbol and suitable Levi conditions on the lower order terms, we establish well-posedness in Gevrey spaces.
