Abstract
Let be a prime number and a finite unramified extension of . For a smooth representation of occurring in some Hecke eigenspace of the mod cohomology of a Shimura curve, we explore different strategies (inspired by the case ) to attack the locality question: does depend only on the underlying -dimensional representation of ? In particular when , crucially using perfectoid geometry, we associate to an infinite-dimensional mod smooth representation of which we hope is the restriction to of the (irreducible) supersingular subquotient of .
