Differential measurement of the branching fraction and $CP$ asymmetry of the decay $B^{\pm }\to \ddot{I}{€}^{\pm }\hat{I}{¼}^{+}\hat{I}{¼}^{-}$

Abstract

Differential measurements of the branching fraction and $CP$ asymmetry of the decay $B^{\pm }\to \ddot{I}{€}^{\pm }\hat{I}{¼}^{+}\hat{I}{¼}^{-}$ are performed in intervals of the dimuon mass squared, $q^2$, using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb${}^{-1}$ recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV, 8 TeV and 13 TeV. The ratios of the branching fractions of $B^{\pm }\to \ddot{I}{€}^{\pm }\hat{I}{¼}^{+}\hat{I}{¼}^{-}$ and $B^{\pm }\to K^{\pm }\hat{I}{¼}^{+}\hat{I}{¼}^{-}$ decays are also reported in the same $q^2$ intervals. The measured branching fractions are compatible with the predictions of the Standard Model, with consistency varying between 1.4$\ddot{I}ƒ$ and 3.8$\ddot{I}ƒ$ depending on the model assumptions.
