MATCHA: A Mathematica package for matching UV models onto HEFT

arXiv:2606.11170

Abstract

We present MATChing HEFT Amplitudes (MATCHA), a Mathematica package designed for leading-order (LO) matching of an ultraviolet (UV) model to the Higgs Effective Field Theory (HEFT). MATCHA performs the matching of non-decoupling effects of order to the LO HEFT lagrangian for an arbitrary number of Higgs fields. The main benefit of MATCHA is that it is built on existing packages such as FeynArts and FormCalc, which are familiar to the user, and directly benefits from the established features of these packages. In addition, MATCHA is designed to require minimal input from the user: solely the FeynRules output files and the desired order of expansion. Together, these features make MATCHA a practical tool for extracting the leading low-energy HEFT couplings that encode non-decoupling effects. A public release, including the code, documentation and an accompanying Mathematica notebook that reproduces the Real Singlet Extension example and serves as a template for new models, is available at https://cqc-phy.github.io/MATCHA-release.
