Abstract
For a simple graph with vertices, let denote the adjacency matrix of , and let be its eigenvalues. For an integer , the positive -energy and negative -energy of , denoted and , are defined as follows: and respectively. Tang, Liu, and Wang proposed a conjecture that, for any integer , every connected -vertex graph satisfies . Akbari, Kumar, Mohar, and Pragada conjectured that, for any , every connected -vertex graph satisfies , and they proved this conjecture for . In this paper, we prove that every connected -vertex graph, except for , , and , satisfies . Moreover, we show that for any integer , every connected -vertex graph satisfies , which improves upon the previously known result.
