Bounds for smooth Fano polytopes

Abstract

We characterize smooth Fano polytopes in terms of their delta-vector and f-vector. As an application we prove that the delta-vector of a smooth Fano polytope is unimodal and we give upper and lower bound on the volume of smooth Fano polytopes.
