First Amplitude Analysis of and Observation of

Abstract
We present the first amplitude analysis of the semileptonic decay by analyzing annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. A tiny -wave component of the accounting for of the is observed for the first time with a significance of in addition to the dominant -wave component of and the sub-dominant -wave. The hadronic form factors of the transition are measured precisely as and . The branching fraction of with is measured to be . Combining the measurements of the , lepton flavor universality is tested by the ratio with unprecedented precision; no violation is found. Furthermore, isospin symmetry in the decay is tested by for the first time using the previous measurement of with . Finally, the phase shift of the \wv{S} is extracted in a model-independent way, which sheds light on the nature of the lightest strange scalar meson, the .
