Observation of a New Excited State in

arXiv:2602.11501

Abstract

Using a data sample of events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial-wave analysis of is performed. A new excited baryon state is observed with a statistical significance of , and the mass and width are measured as and , respectively. The spin-parity of the new state is favored to be , and the branching fraction of is determined to be . In addition, the branching fraction of is determined to be either or by considering two solutions. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.
