Spectrum of bidual uniform algebras

Abstract

We obtain a description of the spectrum of bidual algebra $A^{\ast \ast }$ of a uniform algebra $A$. This spectrum turns out to be a quotient space of the hyper-Stonean envelope of the spectrum of $A$.
