Teichmüller extremal maps on infinite Riemann surfaces

Abstract

Let $X=\mathbb{D}/\hat{I}“$ be an arbitrary Riemann surface. We establish a necessary and sufficient criterion for $[f]\in T(X)$ to have a Teichmüller-type extremal map.
