Quaternionic-Kähler manifolds with nonnegative sectional curvature

Abstract

We show that a compact quaternionic-Kähler manifold with positive scalar curvature and nonnegative sectional curvature is isometric to a symmetric space. This extends a classical theorem of Berger.
