Search for the charmonium weak decays $J/\psi \to D_s^{-}{\rho }^{+}+c.c.$ and $J/\psi \to D_s^{-}{\pi }^{+}+c.c.$

Abstract

Based on $(10087\pm 44)\times 10^6$ $J/\psi$ events recorded with the BESIII detector, we search for the rare charmonium weak decays $J/\psi \to D_s^{-}{\rho }^{+}+c.c.$ and $J/\psi \to D_s^{-}{\pi }^{+}+c.c.$ No signal is observed, and upper limits on the branching fractions at the $90\%$ confidence level are set as $\mathcal{B}(J/\psi \to D_s^{-}{\rho }^{+}+c.c.)<8.0\times 10^{-7}$ and $\mathcal{B}(J/\psi \to D_s^{-}{\pi }^{+}+c.c.)<4.1\times 10^{-7}$. Our results provide the most stringent experimental constraints on these decays.
