Abstract
Using 20.3~ of collision data taken with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy 3.773~GeV, we report the first amplitude analysis of the hadronic decay . The intermediate process is observed and is found to be the only component and its branching fraction is measured to be . Unlike the line-shape observed in the decays of charmed mesons to and in the decay , where the low-mass side of the is wider than the high-mass side, the line-shape in is found to be significantly altered, with the high-mass side being wider than the low-mass side. We establish that the line-shape arises from the triangle loop rescattering of and with a significance of 5.8. This is the first experimental confirmation of the triangle loop rescattering effect.
