Coherent State Assisted Entanglement Generation Between Quantum Memories
arXiv:2504.20344
Abstract
Generating entanglement deterministically at a capacity-approaching rate is critical for next-generation quantum networks. We revisit previous protocols and present a readily-realizable coherent-state-assisted protocol that can generate entanglement near-deterministically between reflective-cavity-based quantum memories at up to twice the rate attainable using the dual-rail photonic-qubit mediated scheme. The most pronounced rate benefit occurs in the low-channel-loss regime and persists even with moderate noise. The protocol can be generalized to entangling an array of memories into various multi-qubit entangled states, including a GHZ state.
