On new identities involving zeros of Bessel functions

Abstract

We derive new identities involving zeros of the Bessel function $J_{\nu }$ and some related functions. These are special cases of more general identities obtained in this note, which might also be of interest.

This version includes an addendum incorporated in response to an overlap with a recent paper by K. Urbanowicz, which the author brought to our attention after our paper had been published. The addendum clarifies the extent of the overlap and acknowledges an earlier work by G.N. Afanasiev
