Faithfully flat ring maps are not descendable

Abstract
We construct a faithfully flat algebra over the infinite polynomial ring on an algebraically closed field that is not descendable.
In the previous version, there was a significant error in Corollary 2.10. The new proof makes use of infinite Ramsey theory, and highlights the importance of large cardinals
