Abstract
A fan is \emph{endpoint-homogeneous} if for any two endpoints of , there is a homeomorphism such that . We prove there are uncountably many distinct homeomorphism types of endpoint-homogeneous smooth fans. To do this, we associate to each such fan a topological invariant, in the form of a characteristic subset describing how the endpoints of limit onto any given blade of . We describe precisely all the uncountably many different that can arise as for some endpoint-homogeneous smooth fan . We also prove the existence of -homogeneous smooth fans for all .
