Abstract

Let $n⩾2$. We prove that, up to conjugation, ${\mathrm{Sp}}_{2n}(\mathbf{Z})$ is the unique lattice in ${\mathrm{Sp}}_{2n}(\mathbf{R})$ of the smallest covolume.
