Abstract
Let be the semigroup which is defined in the Ahre paper \cite{Ahre=1981}. The semigroup with the induced usual topology from , with the topology which is generated by the natural partial order on , and the discrete topology are denoted by , , and , respectively. We show that if () is a Hausdorff locally compact semitopological semigroup () with an adjoined compact ideal then either is an open subset of () or the semigroup () is compact. Also, we proved that if is a Hausdorff locally compact semitopological semigroup with an adjoined compact ideal then is an open subset of .
